About This Interview
Actress Eileen Fulton talked about growing up in North Carolina, before moving to New York and studying under Sanford Meisner. She discussed being cast as “Lisa Miller” on the daytime soap As the World Turns in 1960 for what was originally a 3-month summer storyline that continues to the present. She talked about working with her co-stars, the influence of creator Irna Phillips and producer Ted Corday, and some of the major storylines her character has been involved in. Fulton also discussed the short-lived As the World Turns spinoff, Our Private World, in which she starred. She also chronicled her theater and nightclub appearances as well as some business ventures she has lent her name to over the years. B-roll consisted of on-set photos from As the World Turns as well as some of her stage work. The interview was conducted by Jane Altschuler on November 11, 2005.
