About This Interview

Jan Scott was interviewed for three-and-a-half hours in North Hollywood, CA.  Ms. Scott spoke about her early career working for NBC in Chicago and New York as a female art director.  While in New York, she worked on live shows including, Hallmark Hall of Fame, Kaiser Aluminum Hour and DuPont Show of the Week.  During the 1960's, Ms. Scott's many television movies including Sacco-Vanzetti-Story, Kismet, and the CBS production of Shadow Game, which she received her first Emmy award for art direction.  (Scott still holds the record for winning the most Emmys for art direction - which is eleven).  She maintains a busy schedule, working on several television movies a year.  The interview was conducted by Morrie Gelman on August 27, 1998.
