Cop/Detective/Mystery Series

About This Show

Code 3, featuring Richard Travis (as Asst. Sheriff Barrett), was a mid-50s syndicated crime series, based on case histories. 

L. A. County Sheriff Eugene W. Biscialuz was on hand to add authenticity to the episodes.  As noted in Hal Erickson's Syndicated Television: The First Forty Years, 1947-87, Code 3 was Hal Roach Studio's response to the success of Ziv Productions' Highway Patrol. 

Series directors include: Don Siegel, Ted Post, Peter Godfrey, Paul Landres, John Meredyth Lucas, and George Waggner.

Series writers include: William T. Rousseau, Jack Bennett, Paul Franklin, Jerry D. Lewis, and Jack Laird.

Among the guest stars were: Denver Pyle, Richard Deacon, Mae Clark, Russell Johnson, Gene Reynolds.
