About This Show

This short-lived series ran from Novemeber 4, 1948 to March 1, 1949 on ABC and featured Marilyn Day and Carl Reiner as stars.  The series featured the clothing of sponsors and the storyline was slight— Day was a model/aspiring singer and Reiner a comic photographer.  Variety said of the show's premiere: "Although as entertainment it still needs sharpening of pace, it indicates at least one way of integrating the bankrollers' product into the script for maximum merchandising impact and minimum dialer irritation."  The Billboard's review (Nov. 13, 1948) was critical of the camerawork and supporting players, but admired Marilyn Day ("a pert young lass with a fair voice, excellent delivery and style and a superb chassis, all of which add up to a lively video personality")

Other cast members include: Don Saxon, Pamela O'Neill, Dennis Bohan, Doris Lane, Patsy Davis, Elaine Joyce, Aina Shields, Hayes Gorden.  Also featured were: the Walter Fletcher Trio and pianist Roger Stearns.  The premiere episode was written by Marilyn Day and directed by Howard Cordery.  Produced by John Nasht Associates.  Co-producers included: Gene Seagle and Billie Gould.  Other writers included: Rosemary Roth and Bob Wald.  The series fashion director was Kay Porter; stylists were: Ollie Tucker and Walter Fleicher.
